Zoe-perry
Perry was born on July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in each of the two episodes she appeared on Roseanne. She was not allowed to begin acting with her parents till she reached adulthood, as they feared the anxiety it could cause. Perry claims she never wanted to perform in highschool but decided to start performing as a form of social interaction while at Northwestern University when she switched to the university from Boston University. Perry moved to New York, where she landed small roles in series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness caused Perry home to California and theater roles were available. She and her mother starred on Broadway together in The Other Place, in 2013. She performed with their father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry appeared nine times in the ABC film The Family, in 2016. In 2017, Perry had a minor role on the ABC political drama Scandal that starred her father. She played the role of an older Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off show from CBS's The Big Bang Theory was another younger portrayal of her mother. She was cast in the role by auditioning for an open role despite having a connection to the character.
