Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl, and she received the highest marks on her A level exams. In response to questions about her role in Emmerdale she stated that she regrets not to have had an experience like the traditional one at university. Coleman appeared on Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival as part of a group called In Yer Space, which she performed in when she was at the school. It also received an enthusiastic reception. She was awarded with an award for her exceptional performance. Coleman won the Emmerdale role Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with Drama schools. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007. In 2007, the British Soap Awards nominated her as the best newcomer. The National Television Awards, she received the award for best newcomer with the highest popularity. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was recognized in the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21st, 2012 that Coleman was set to portray Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion following the departure of Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other actors left the series. Moffat has decided to choose her for the role since she seemed to have the best chemistry with Smith. Additionally, she was quicker than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She is active in the industry since 1987, and has been part of various TV shows and films. Her most popular role was on television. Eva played many characters on TV, however two stand out in particular: Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as the character of Detective Natalia Boavistas for CSI Miami. The first role she played on TV earned her the show two Daytime Emmy nominations, and gave her the opportunity to explore her passion for music.
