Cecily Legler Strong, an American stand-up comedian and performer, is well known for her role as a member of the cast in 'Saturday Night Live.' When she took an improv course when she was nine years old and began her acting career. Her initial goal was to become an actress, but realized she was gifted in comedy. Thus, her main focus moved from acting to improv. She started her career by performing on cruise ships with fellow members of Second City Conservatory and iO Chicago. Strong is still performing at popular events including Chicago Sketch Fest. The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. New York Sketchfest. and Virgin Daiquiri. Virgin Daiquiri is an all-female Improv group. It was in 2012 that she went huge when she was a part of 'Saturday Night Live. She hosted the Weekend Update segment with Seth Meyers in the beginning, then together with Colin Jost. The character of Cecily from the show 'The Girls You'd Like to Not Start a Conversation With in a Party" was the most reminscent moment in her series. That same year, she also had her first film debut in the release of a short movie titled "How to Fund the Uterus'. She's been vocal about how women are treated on the screen in the form of bikini models, rather than as strong characters in mainstream movies.
